IFF Turkey manufactures food-grade aromas and essences to be used in various applications. Within the scope of corporate documentation procedures, we were commissioned to translate a local stock holding agreement from English into Turkish where IFF Turkey keeps certain stock of materials as a seller on behalf of a local buyer.

- Creation of a legal glossary with the terms used in the source text to ensure consistency both in terms of terminology and content.
- Delivery terms specific to Incoterm rules such as DAP, which means Delivered at Place, are explained in the target text in addition to providing the original abbreviation for information and for the avoidance of doubt.
- The subject matter of the agreement consists of stock holding and delivery procedures by IFF Turkey. These procedures are translated by using descriptive and illustrative language to ensure that they are as clear as possible with the necessary process steps and rules to follow so that this legally binding text serves its intended purpose.
- Standard contractual provisions and sections which are commonly found in agreements are also included in the target text to provide a final text consistent with local practices. Legal terms and section headings most commonly adopted in Turkish legal texts were consistently used to create an authentic text for the local market.
