BIODERMA, the subsidiary of NAOS also including brands such as Institut Esthederm and Etat Pur), is a brand oriented towards ecobiology with to respect the skin ecosystem and preserve its health. NAOS is now available in 130 countries with its vision to expand from Skincare to Human Care.
The projects we carry out with NAOS generally consist of presentations, contents, training materials etc. This project in question was also about a product training. The language of the source text was English. Following the receipt of the source text, we meticulously examined and analyzed the text. Then, price and deadlines were offered to the client. Afterwards, our project manager assigned the source text to a localization expert working in this field and language pair by paying close attention to requests of the client and terminology. All processes were carried out in accordance with ISO 17100 Standard.
We created a detailed and specific terminology for the topic of the training. In the meantime, we had contact with our client to carry out our procedures in line with their expectations. During localization process, our expert resorted to the parallel texts of the same brand to acquire a consistent target text. For instance, after research, the expert conformed to the rule of keeping the name of the product same.
Localization expert focused on a localization oriented towards Turkish audience and tried to avoid from complex sentences and inconsistencies. The expert tried to conform the terminology of the cosmetics.
After he/she completed the translation, the translation file was sent back to the project manager. Then, in accordance with the service package purchased, editing, proofreading, and quality check were performed on the localized file and the project was delivered to the customer.
